Who is Annville Jack?

Annville Jack

Every semester brings new faces to LVC, but one student has become a constant presence on campus: Annville Jack.

John Narmon, better known as “Jack,” has been a familiar figure at LVC since he began taking classes in 2010. Jack grew up in Elizabeth, New Jersey, before moving to Annville in 2005. Since then, he has built a strong connection with both the town and the college.

He already has a degree in philosophy but enjoys exploring a variety of courses. Typically, he takes two to three classes each semester, staying involved in the LVC community.

“LVC is home,” Jack said. “It gives me purpose—better than sitting around playing bingo.”

Jack is comfortable at LVC and knows that it is his home.

Before enrolling at LVC, Jack spent 25 years as a licensed social worker. He dedicated his career to helping others, an experience that continues to shape his outlook on life and learning.

Though he keeps a low profile outside of class, nearly every student knows who he is.

Annville Jack has become more than a student. He is part of the identity of LVC itself.
