Hunting season in PA

(By Jared Graeff ‘26, staff writer)

With the cool weather soon approaching, many LVC students will be spending their free time in the Pennsylvania forests.

Hunting season in Pennsylvania is a popular hobby among students at LVC. Being able to get out and enjoy the outdoors is a nice change of scenery for students.

“November is a great time of year for Pennsylvania hunting,” John Adams, junior criminal justice major, said. “There is something in season for all hunters, big and small game.”

November brings many game choices of hunting into season. In season for big game is black bear, deer and turkey. For small game there is pheasant, squirrel, grouse, rabbit and quail.

There are two special dates this November that many hunters are happy about. The Pennsylvania Game Commission has implemented two Sundays where you are able to hunt. These dates are Sunday, Nov. 17, and Sunday, Nov. 24. This allows many hunters to get an extra day hunting and enjoying the Pennsylvania forests.
