Local graduate begins coaching and teaching careers

LVC baseball welcomes former Division 1 baseball player to the coaching staff.

The team has added a new face to its coaching staff this fall –Tyler Long, a former standout at Mount Saint Mary’s University and graduate of Annville-Cleona High School.

Long brings both local ties and Division 1 playing experience to the Dutchmen program. At Mount Saint Mary’s, he saw great success, gaining valuable perspectives on competing at the collegiate level. His return to Annville is also a homecoming, as he once suited up just down the road for the Annville-Cleona Dutchmen.

As LVC prepares for the upcoming season, Long’s presence on the staff provides both a link to the community and a fresh perspective for the team. His background as a former Division I athlete and Annville-Cleona alum adds another layer of experience to the coaching roster.

Long is not only beginning his college coaching career but also opening a new chapter in his life as he starts teaching in the Annville-Cleona School District.

The Dutchmen open their season this spring with high hopes, and the addition of Long, is expected to play a role in the team’s continued growth.
