The baseball team has a tough stretch coming up, as they play five games in the next seven days.

Four out of the five games are inter-conference matchups, so it will be important for the Dutchmen to collect as many wins as possible. The team currently sits one game under .500, with a record of 11-12.

The first of the games will be at home against Misericordia University on Monday, April 8, at 3:30 p.m. It will likely be the Dutchmen’s toughest game, with Misericordia having an impressive 16-7 record. LVC has faced them in the last two games and lost by the scores of 5-1 and 15-8. Be sure to come out and support the team as it looks to win this important game.

The next game of the week is against Stockton University in New Jersey. This game will take place on Tuesday, April 9, at 3:30 p.m. It will likely be easier than the Dutchmen’s series against Misericordia; however, Stockton still holds a solid 13-10 record.

The next three games are part of a three-game series against King’s College. The first will be away at King’s College on Friday, April 12, at 3:30 p.m. The next two will be played in the form of a double-header on Saturday, April 13, at home. The first game will be played at 12 p.m. and the second at 3:30 p.m.

King’s College has struggled this season, as its 8-14 record displays, so the Dutchmen will need to capitalize in these three inter-conference games. A sweep would help the Dutchmen move up in the rankings and make a late playoff push.

With only 15 games remaining in the season, make sure to stop by some of the upcoming home games and show your support for the team!
