The Jammin’ Jackalopes, LVC’s ultimate frisbee club, had its first scrimmage of the spring season this past Saturday, March 16.

The Jammers invited Millersville University’s ultimate frisbee team to LVC on Saturday for some friendly competition and an opportunity for the inexperienced students to play against another team.

The score of the scrimmage was 14-8, Millersville. The Jammin’ Jackalopes had touchdowns from Justin Rachfalski, Peyton Zimmerman, Ryan Hausman, Andrew Thorsen, Jerryn Pressinger, Max Pellegrino, Tylee Stauffer and Matt Taskowitz, and had assists from Max Pellegrino, Jerryn Pressinger and Justin Rachfalski.

Despite the loss for the Jammin’ Jackalopes, the team gave Millersville a tough battle and looked solid for having mostly inexperienced players. The team for the scrimmage consisted of 16 players, nine new players and seven experienced players.

The Jammin’ Jackalopes is looking forward to its upcoming spring season and have already started to prepare for its tournaments. The first tournament will be Saturday, April 6, at Wilkes-Barre University followed by another tournament on Saturday, April 27, at Bloomsburg University.
