The LVC Rainbow Six Siege team participated in the Colonial Charity Bash tournament.

The event, hosted by Robert Morris University, featured some of the best collegiate Rainbow Six teams in North America that raised money for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

The organization works to ensure that anyone who needs a healthy meal can get one.

The weekend kicked off with a group stage that would lead into a bracket.

“This really helped us convert the practice from our training week and now we feel very prepared for the start of the semester-long leagues,” David Palmer, junior digital communications major and Rainbow Six captain, said.

The group stage featured wins over McGill University, Sam Houston State, the University of Louisville and Concordia University with their lone loss coming to the University of Central Florida academy team.

The 4-1 record would give the team the second overall seed as they headed into the bracket starting with a first-round bye.

They would then go on to beat the University of Ottawa, Sam Houston State and the University of California at Davis en route to the upper-bracket final.

After a loss to the University of Georgia, they would be knocked out by the University of Central Florida and finish in third place.

The team now looks forward to the start of the regular season on Feb. 6.
