Those who are looking for a rewarding experience and a fun way to get involved at LVC can apply to be a first-year mentor (FYM).

FYMs welcome first-year students during orientation and become their mentors throughout the course of their first semester at LVC.  They get to help first-year students learn what their experience at LVC may be like and put together events to get the students to meet each other.

Any rising sophomore, junior, or senior can apply to be an FYM for the 2024-2025 school year until Wednesday, March 13, at 4 p.m.  There will also be two info sessions that interested students can attend.  The first one will be on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m. in C.A.L. 186, and the second one will be on Monday, Feb. 19, at 4 p.m. in the Underground of Mund.

FYMs will also receive a stipend and have the opportunity to move in early.  Any questions regarding this process can be emailed to Abby Anderson at aanderson@lvc.edu.
