LVC volleyball is looking to bounce back with a win against Widener University after a hard loss to Franklin & Marshall College snapped their six-game winning streak.

Widener University (11-13) is currently sitting just below LVC (16-7) in the MAC Commonwealth standings, which causes this game to have particularly important playoff implications.

LVC has already claimed a MAC conference tournament berth, partially thanks to their amazing winning streak, so a win here would not be necessary for them. However, this could be a preview of LVC’s first round matchup in the tournament.

While this is LVC’s regular season finale, Widener University has another game where they will attempt to claim the 5th and final spot in the MAC tournament.

If they do so, LVC and Widener would face off in a “play-in game,” where the winner would move on to face the #1 seeded team.

LVC facing a team they have just beaten could significantly boost their confidence and chances of winning it all, so make sure to keep a close eye on the outcome.

The match will take place at 7:00 p.m. at Widener University.
