Soccer scores playoff spot

Led by a new coach, the women’s soccer team boasts new philosophies and a new attitude.

Their season nearing the end, the women’s team has played 14 games, with an overall record of 6-4-4. The team has a strong conference record, winning five games and tying one. This record has clinched them a spot in the playoffs.

It’s the cohesiveness of this group of girls that makes their success possible.

“Our team has really great chemistry this year, and we’re peaking at just the right time in conference play,” Lauren Weaver, a junior defender, said.

Looking ahead, the team has two games remaining – LVC’s rivals, Messiah and York.

“We have our toughest conference games this week so we are looking to finish strong going into playoffs,” Weaver said.

The Dutchmen will face the Messiah Falcons at home on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 3:30 p.m.

Come out and support them in their last few games of the regular season!
