LVC has a new first in history as both the men’s and women’s cross country teams captured MAC Championships for the first time ever in the same season.
The women’s team delivered a powerful finish, placing seven runners on the All-MAC squads.
Kyrianna Nemitz, Autumn Garges and Lila Shore led the charge with First-Team All-MAC honors, while Coyla Bartholomew and Abigail Hunt secured Second-Team recognition. Charlee Kurtz and Kaylee Senglar rounded out the group on the Third Team.
Their success was guided by head coach James O’Brien, who earned Women’s Coach of the Year.
The men matched the historic moment with an equally commanding performance, placing nine runners on All-MAC teams and sweeping major awards.
Rory Lieberman claimed Runner of the Year, the individual MAC championship and a spot on the First Team. Joe Chukoskie, Eric Shelton and Lukas Walko joined him on the First Team, followed by Second-Team honorees Andrew Namatka and Wyatt Leitzel. Dylan Lenhart, Sam Rothstein and Samuel Bower earned Third-Team distinctions. O’Brien was also named Men’s Coach of the Year.
Together, the Dutchmen delivered a championship sweep that will stand as one of the greatest achievements in LVC cross country history.
