The Dutchmen football team defeated Widener on the road in Chester 31-14.

Logan Klitsch, senior captain and quarterback for the Dutchmen, had a phenomenal game in the air throwing for a season-high three touchdown passes and accounted for 76 yards rushing.

“Early game adjustments on offense and a sound defense set us up for great complementary football down the stretch to get us the big win,” he said.

The Dutchmen defense held Widener’s offense to just 165 total yards in a dominant defensive performance. Jacob Karkoska led the team in tackles with eight and had one sack. Shea Makosy had one and a half sacks, his season high.

Both sides of the ball for the Dutchmen showed dominance all game to improve their record to 4-2 on the season, 4-1 in the MAC conference.

The Dutchmen return to Arnold Field Saturday, Oct. 25, to play Kings College for another conference game.
