This past week on February 23, 2026, LVC students, faculty and staff came together to celebrate the college’s birthday.
LVC was founded on February 23, 1866, with students beginning classes on May 7 of the same year. The college that started out with a small number of students now has over 1,674 full-time undergraduate students and 416 students who are in graduate programs.
Students, faculty and staff came together to celebrate with free merchandise, treats and a banner with what students love most about LVC.
