A last-second victory over Albright College brought excitement over LVC’s campus this weekend.
The students of LVC had plenty to be happy about this weekend after LVC football pulled off a 38–35 win over Albright in one of the most exciting wins of the season. The matchup was tense from start to finish; both teams did not struggle to find the end zone in this high-scoring matchup.
The game ultimately came down to the final second. With the score tied and the pressure at its peak, the Dutchmen offense pushed down the field to set their kicker up for the game-winning fieldgoal. As the students on campus held their breaths, the kick sailed straight through the uprights, sealing the 38-35 victory and sending the Dutchmen sideline into a frenzy.
Adding to the excitement, LVC now has classes off on Wednesday, Nov. 26, allowing everyone to head home early for Thanksgiving break pending the president’s final decision on Monday. This tradition has gone on for years, and has had its ups and downs, but this year the Dutchmen will celebrate and be welcomed back from Albright by a thankful LVC community.
