For those who watch football, they tend to focus on key positions like quarterback, wide
receiver or safety; but when fans are watching the game, unless their son is one of the linemen,
they are not likely to see what goes on at the line of scrimmage.

Starting offensive tackle, sophomore Jeremy Carter said that the trenches are a physical place
where the guys on defensive are big, quick and have good technique. What he does before each
game is how he locks in and prepares for what’s coming.

“Our season is going well,” Carter said. “We have built a great team chemistry and are competing in every game for a MAC Championship.”

The offensive line has won the Division III team of the week two times this season as they have run the ball effectively all season with starting backs Dion Bryant and Avrey Grimm carrying the ball.

“The offensive line is a strong unit, and we have been putting up good numbers in each game so
far,” Carter said.

The Dutchmen are 4-2 (4-1 in the MAC), and they take on King’s College at 1 p.m. Saturday,
Oct. 25.
