After an electric 2-0 finish against the Elizabethtown Blue Jays, the Women’s soccer team continues their early streak of dominance.

Led by multiple long-time upperclassmen, the Lady Dutchmen maintained control of both the pace of the game, and the outcome of the game, after two strong goals by Jordan Lasky, Senior forward/midfielder. First in the early stage of the matchup at the 7:42 mark, and then her second game-winner of the season around the 51:08 mark to shut the door on the Blue Jays.

Lasky was assisted by Junior Abrielle Miller and first-year phenom Jayme Beninda who both recorded shots of their own with two from Miller and one from Beninda.

Alison Sepkovic, Senior Captain and Midfielder, recorded three shots in her own right, after playing an intricate part of the team’s success with LVC’s early, undefeated record.

Sepkovic has recorded multiple shots and assists in the three games played this season, as she has worked the midfield against formidable foes in Moravian and Alvernia. The team is operating under Frank Corroza, Head Coach, in his third year with the program, along with the newly promoted Courtney Browning as Assistant Coach.

“It feels great to have a solid start to the season with this group of girls. After basically having the same team as last year, the chemistry is already established, and we can just play the way we want to play. We have such a strong bond which helps even more during games” Lasky said.

After beating both Moravian and Alvernia 1-0, the team will take on Immaculata on the terrier’s turf this Wednesday, Sept. 10, as it looks to continue their undefeated run this season.
