Senior transfer Trey Freeman, an interaction design major, has quickly become a playmaker for the LVC football team.
Freeman transferred to LVC from California University of Pennsylvania, arriving as a senior academically, but a junior in athletic eligibility. Since joining the Dutchmen, he has made an immediate impact on the field.
“Making an impact right away was the best feeling I’ve had since transferring,” Freeman said. “To me it showed that all the hard work I’ve been putting in the last few years is finally being seen by the coaches. Making an impact right away means they can trust me to make plays for them and help the team on a week-to-week basis.”
Freeman also reflected on scoring his first touchdown in a Dutchman uniform.
“It felt amazing, almost surreal. I’ve been working almost four years to show what I can do on the field, so it felt amazing,” Freeman said.
Freeman’s first touchdown came during LVC’s home victory against FDU, a moment that not only marked a milestone in his career but also showed the impact he is capable of making for his new team. His work ethic, both on and off the field, is already paying off.
