By John Adams ’26, staff writer

Brendan Lonergan has loved basketball his whole life; basketball has always been his main passion.

From playing as a kid to refereeing, then coaching, and now playing collegiate basketball. His collegiate basketball career started at King’s College, a Division III school in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania in the MAC conference. After spending a year at King’s College, Brendan decided that he wanted to pursue a career in physical therapy.

LVC was one of the best schools in the area for physical therapy. This is what made Lonergan decide that he was going to transfer.

Lonergan was able to continue his collegiate career here at LVC.

“Basketball has always been my passion, and I wanted to continue pursuing that passion no matter where I went to school,” Lonergan said.

Lonergan is a 6’5” forward who has logged some minutes here at LVC. With a big frame and a potent 3-point shot, he’s an asset.

Lonergan’s athletic career has influenced him to pursue his career in physical therapy.

“I think my basketball career has helped guide me to a career that is centered in the sports world,” Lonergan mentioned.

Lonergan would love to work with basketball players after graduation.
