The Chapter of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) at LVC provides students the opportunity to get involved in activities that line up with their major and the profession itself.

LVC’s branch of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association strives to create opportunities for students to get involved in the community through many events and recreational activities.

“This month we just hosted a bake sale for Autism Awareness Day,” Gwen Sears, member of the club, said. “We will also be participating in Annville’s Pumpkin Walk and Monster Mash.”

Although he club is specifically directed towards Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) majors, it is open to all students looking to learn more about the SLP profession and ways they can give back to their community in general. Recreational activities that interest all students are present in the club as well.

“Activities like movie nights and friendship bracelets,” Sears said. “Upcoming we are doing a trip to Rissinger’s Farm for a hayride, corn maze, and campfire goodies.”

Meetings for the club are held on the first Thursday of every month in room 125 in the Heilman Center at 11 a.m. Students looking for more information can visit their Instagram page @nsslha_lvc.
