On homecoming weekend in Annville, the Lebanon Valley Flying Dutchmen took on the Delaware Valley Aggies.
The Dutchmen came into the game 2-2 on the season, looking to improve to above .500 on the year so far and stay positive in conference play. The Aggies scored first in the first quarter with a five-yard run to give the Aggies a 7-0 lead. LVC scored in the first quarter as well, with a short passing touchdown to tie the game at 7-7.
In the beginning of the second quarter, the Aggies scored another rushing touchdown from one yard out to make the score 14-7. Seven minutes later, the Dutchmen kicked a 32-yard field goal to make the score 14-10. Right before half-time, Braden Bohannon threw another short touchdown pass for his second of the day to give LVC the lead 16-14 at halftime.
Midway through the third, the Aggies got a 11-yard touchdown pass to give them the lead 21-16. Both teams fought mercilessly throughout the next quarter and a half, but with no more scoring to happen for the rest of the game, the Aggies walked away with a tough win.
Ryan Enright led the Dutchmen with six total tackles, five solo. Evan Kutzler recorded an interception and Luke Pollock recorded a forced fumble. The Dutchmen look to improve their record on the road by facing King’s College next week Saturday.
