An LVC psychology and neuroscience student was recognized for her ongoing research during the Society for Personality and Social Psychology’s annual conference.

Cheyenne Lehman, a senior neuroscience major, was invited to present the LVC psychology department’s queer research study at the SPSP Conference in Denver, Colorado. Lehman was accompanied by Dr. Jenna Marx, associate professor of psychology, and Dr. Ashley McFalls, associate professor of neuroscience.

“I felt honored that I had the opportunity to represent LVC by presenting our research on body image satisfaction in the LGBTQ+ community,” Lehman said. “I couldn’t have done it without Dr. Marx and Dr. McFalls.”

Lehman is a jack of all trades. Outside of her research, she sings in LVC’s chamber and concert choirs, works as a resident assistant and plays a key role in Wig & Buckle Theater Company’s spring show.

“I find that time management and keeping my calendars organized is essential for me to manage all of my coursework, research and extracurriculars,” Lehman said.

The conference took place on Thursday, Feb. 20. Lehman plans to focus further on her research throughout the spring 2025 semester.
