Falconry will be on display as one of LVC’s success expo events.
The Falconry Experience acquaints participants with the history of man’s relationship with raptors and the evolution of falconry. It includes free-flight demonstrations, a simulated hunt demonstration, and an opportunity for participants to call a hawk to their gloved hand.
This event will be hosted by Jack Hubley ‘73, who has been a multimedia advocate for over 25 years. The lifelong Lancaster County resident has served as an outdoor editor for Lancaster Sunday news for 18 years, as well as an editor of Pennsylvania Wildlife magazine for 10 years.
Hubley produces and hosts Wild Moment episodes every Friday on the evening newscasts. When he is not working on the air, he works with traveling zoos to visit schools, bringing many zoo animals to these schools.
Hubley is a master falconer, he is one of 25 falconers who are licensed to hunt golden eagles. He will be bringing his experiences and fascination with wildlife to LVC for this demonstration.
The event takes place on April 1, at 2-3 p.m. in Leedy Theater. This event is a part of the success expo, sign up on Handshake to reserve your seat!
