As graduation draws closer and closer, LVC seniors have started working in-depth on post-graduate plans.
Logan Polak, a senior music business major, has been researching several prospective positions in the field. As an avid musician, Polak is no stranger to recognizing talent in the industry, as proven by a recent internship position he had over the summer.
“My official job title was as a creative publishing intern at Dividend Music Group,” Polak said. “The role consisted of scouting musical talent on streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, etc. and then reaching out to talent via email or Zoom.”
Because Polak’s major combines aspects of music and business administration, his job search contains minimal limitations.
“For now, I’m hoping to obtain a remote position that will allow me to stay home as I navigate the field and gain more experience,” he said.
As the surrounding area’s job market is relatively small, Polak’s prospective jobs are centralized in major U.S. cities such as New York and Los Angeles. He hopes to eventually relocate to a larger metropolitan area to expand and continue his music business endeavors.
