Valley trivia has attracted a diverse group of students with a wide range of intellectual interests.
Currently, the club boasts over 25 members representing more than 10 different majors.
“My plans for the future are to grow the club and to hopefully build more bonds through different events that we have,” Dawson Boyer, the valley trivia president, said.
Looking forward, the club’s next event is a Kahoot night with the environmental club on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m. in Clyde A. Lynch 186. Interested students must sign up on Redbook and will have the opportunity to answer environmentally-related trivia questions for prizes.
The event’s announcement follows a vote by student government that approved valley trivia as a full-status club on Monday, Jan. 20. Its official status will make it easier to collaborate and receive funding.
“I’m excited for the future now that valley trivia is an official club,” Kohai Pavan, a sophomore member of valley trivia, said. “I think that the extra perks of official meetings could bring cool things in the future.”
Valley trivia plans to continue hosting events each semester outside of its monthly meetings. Interested students are encouraged to contact Dawson Boyer at dcb005@lvc.edu for more information.
