When anyone steps into LVC’s department of business, accounting & economics, they’re greeted by a warm smile and infectious energy from none other than Deb Orlando.
“Deb is the very heart of our department,” Dr. Treva Clark, chair of the department of business, accounting & economics, said. “She brings a passion to every task, and her boundless commitment to our students is absolutely inspiring.”
Deb’s journey at LVC began in 2016 as a public safety officer. She worked in that role until 2021, before transitioning to her current role as administrative assistant to the department of business, accounting, economics & digital communications.
Deb has significantly impacted the department, juggling her administrative duties with her pursuit of an MBA at LVC. Despite her busy schedule, she remains a constant source of support and guidance for students and faculty.
“Deb is a great resource for ideas and insight,” Dr. Kimberlee Josephson, associate professor of business administration, said. “She keeps our department on track, and she is a stellar office mate.”
What sets Deb apart is her dedication to the LVC community. Whether she is answering questions, offering advice or simply sharing a friendly conversation, her positive energy uplifts everyone around her. In celebration of Administrative Professionals’ Day, it is fitting to honor Deb’s contributions to our department and our campus.
“We would be lost without her,” Dr. Lindsey Porter, assistant professor of accounting, said. “She goes above and beyond every day in everything she does.”
At LVC, Deb isn’t just a staff member; she’s a friend, mentor and guiding light. LVC would simply not be the same without her.
