LVC swimming MAC championship summary

This past weekend, LVC had 11 swimmers participate in the MAC championships at the Graham Aquatic Center in York, Pennsylvania.

LVC swimming started strong on day one with Jordyn Grossman placing second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.38. Along with this, both the men and women’s 200-yard medley relay teams placed in the top 10 with times of 1:49.23 and 2:03.37 respectively.

Day two saw continued success with the men’s team moving up to ninth place in the team standings after both Justin Kopp and Dain Vallie qualified for the “C” finals in each of their events. Along with this, day two of the MAC Championships saw four different Dutchmen set new personal records in addition to a 9th place finish by the women’s 200-yard freestyle relay team.

Three Dutchmen set personal records along with a 15th place finish by Jordyn Grossman in the 100-yard backstroke.

On the final day of competition, Jordyn Grossman placed 11th overall in the 100-yard freestyle, and the men’s team placed 10th in the overall team competition.

The MAC Championships are the last event that LVC swimming will participate in this year and mark the end of another successful season.
