The men’s basketball team faced off against Misericordia University on Wednesday, Jan. 31, and collected its sixth win of the season.

Led by Tyson Hofsass, who provided 23 points on 9 of 13 shooting, and Ryan Harder, who dropped 17 points to go along with eight rebounds, the Dutchmen defeated Misericordia University by a score of 86-67.

The first half was close, resulting in a tie game at 42 going into halftime. A strong second half, in which LVC outscored Misericordia 44 to 25, helped propel LVC to the win.

Misericordia had a record of 12-7 before they lost to the previously 5-14 Dutchmen. Getting this win against a good team will hopefully help provide LVC with the momentum needed to end the season strong.
