The Asian Culture Club will host a Lunar New Year celebration to connect communities and heritage.

The Lunar New Year is based on the lunar calendar and is a symbol of good luck and prosperity for the new year. The festival is a major event in China and other Asian countries. 2024 is the year of the dragon, representing strength, luck and bravery.

The Asian Culture Club is bringing this important cultural celebration to LVC by hosting a Lunar New Year celebration. The event will include a dragon piñata with Asian candies, karaoke, board games and Asian foods. The club aims to bring more awareness to Asian culture and create relationships through celebrating Asian traditions.

The Lunar New Year celebration is Saturday, Feb. 10, from 6-8 p.m. in the Underground of Mund. People can sign up for the celebration on Redbook. More information about the event and Asian Culture Club can be found on its Instagram page, @asiancultureclublvc.
