For the summer of 2024, Dr. Holly Wendt is embarking on a journey to Perugia, Italy with the creative writing department.
The trip to Perugia is a five-week program lasting from May 16 to June 22. During those five weeks, students will have an opportunity to take six credits while experiencing the charm of Perugia. Excursions are included in the tuition and include visits to wineries, cooking workshops, a local museum, a soccer stadium and the city of Spoleto.
Students will have an opportunity to take two classes while abroad, one taught by Wendt titled “Write Away in Italy: Creative Nonfiction.” The other class is chosen by the student from the course catalog list.
Students will be housed in apartments with their peers for the five-week trip, and tuition is $4,900. The cost includes tuition, housing expenses and excursions. Airfare, meals and additional experiences will have to be paid in addition to the deposit by the student.
If students missed the information session on Tuesday, Oct. 31, additional information is available on LVC’s website.
