Freshmen feeling less stressed after midterms

With the excitement of homecoming and engaging events post-midterms, freshmen are starting to feel more comfortable on campus.

“I have heard of a few freshmen who have left LVC pretty abruptly,” Abbie Keath, resident assistant for Funkhouser Hall, said. “A lot of residents come talk to me about how stressed they were before midterms and how relieved they were after.”

Before midterms approached, rumors spread of freshmen leaving campus without any notice. However, after interims, they have now subsided.

“Yeah, I don’t get stressed anymore,” Lincoln Hower, a first-year exercise science major, said.

With other events coming up such as Dutchmen Day, stress levels within first-year students at LVC may continue to lessen. For those where that may not be the case, there are assistance programs available, such as 50/50 peer helpers and tutors.
