Field of Screams will host its 11th annual Zombie Fun Run on Saturday, Nov. 11, to benefit the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition.

Participants have the option to register for the 5k as a runner or a zombie. Runners will be given a belt with three flags on it, which each represent a “life.” Zombies will chase runners through the course and try to steal their flags.

There will be more than 30 obstacles throughout the course, as well as Gain-a-Life stations where runners can complete challenges for the chance to win an extra flag.

Starting now through Nov. 5, the registration cost for a zombie is $55, team runners are $65 per person and an individual runner is $70. The price of registration will increase to $65 for a zombie and $80 for team and solo runners from Nov. 6-11. Spectators can enter for free with no registration required.

Additionally, a zombie transformation tent will be open for any runner or spectator looking for some scary makeup. The transformation tent has a $10 fee and is cash only.

To guarantee a race shirt and a medal, registration is required. Walk-ons are welcome to sign up on race day but are not guaranteed the free t-shirt and medal upon completion of the race.

Runners ages 12 and up can register for any wave start time, while runners under age 12 are encouraged to register for the 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m. or 12 p.m. start times. To participate as a zombie, the minimum age requirement is 16.

Field of Screams is also seeking volunteers to help with the race. Volunteers will be allowed to run in one wave of the race and will receive a free t-shirt, drinks and snacks on race day.

The daytime waves for runners begin at 11 a.m. and operate in 30-minute intervals until 4 p.m. The night waves begin at 4:30 p.m., as sunset is just before 5 p.m. on race day, and the last wave is at 6 p.m. The zombie shifts are from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 3 to 7:30 p.m.

This is a rain-or-shine event, and more than 50 varieties of food and drink will be available. Food and drink purchases are cash only, and there is an ATM on site. The Scream Shop will be open for attendees to purchase souvenirs, and credit cards are accepted.

The Living Dead After Party will be happening all day and will feature music, games, food and a t-shirt station that allows participants and volunteers to customize their complimentary race shirts for free. Runners, zombies, volunteers and spectators are able to attend.
