Lebanon Valley College’s Equestrian Club offers a fun and low-stakes path for students to learn about horses and showcase their skills.
The club’s president, Hope Davis, is a junior clinical mental health and counseling student. They have reassuring news for any potential new members.
“Our team has members of all majors, all goals and all involvement levels,” Davis said. “We do not discriminate, and we’re happy to welcome all interest levels onto the team.”
They also added that the Equestrian Club also covers all show and transportation fees for participants.
“This means that we’re able to eliminate a lot of the cost barrier that would usually prevent people from being able to be both a competitive equestrian and a college student,” they said.
The club will collaborate with similar organizations this semester at Lafayette College and Lehigh, Bloomsburg and Rutgers Universities. They will participate in four shows on Oct. 1, 15, 21 and 28. Contact Davis at hd004@lvc.edu for more information.
