The Lebanon Valley College Field Hockey (5-6) team is coming off two shutouts on the road against Hood and Juniata. In those games, the Lady Dutchmen combined for 31 shots on goal, the most in any two-game stretch of the year.
The Lady Dutchmen will be looking for a big performance from sophomore, Lexi Ward, who leads in the team in goals on the year with 4. On the defensive end, the Dutchmen will need sophomore goalie, Kayleigh Kmet, to continue her hot streak. Kmet has 4 saves in the last two games with 0 goals allowed.
The Lady Dutchmen will be traveling to Chester, Pennsylvania to face the Widener Pride (7-4). The Pride have been on a two-game losing streak, falling to Messiah and Arcadia.
In those two games, Widener had only a combined nine shots on goal with two scores. The Pride will need a good offensive performance from their lead scorer, Margaret Howe-Consiglio.
The game will be held in Chester, Pennsylvania at Edith R. Dixon field. The start time is 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 8.
