Capital Area Therapeutic Riding Association will be hosting an event through LVC to help individuals with disabilities. Volunteers for the event will be assisting individuals with disabilities as they participate in therapeutic horseback riding. Volunteers will also help take care of the barn, the horses and more.

CATRA was founded in Grantville, PA, by Ben and Shirley Nolt. The association started offering therapeutic horseback riding in the fall of 1985.

Now, CATRA offers horseback riding for varying ages, ranging from adolescents to senior citizens. Horseback riding sessions are offered weekly and are held in seven different counties in PA.

The event will be held on April 9, at 168 Station Rd., Grantville, PA, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. For more information and to reserve a seat, go to Redbook.
