The warm weather seems to be here to stay, so let’s talk about a few ways to stay busy and enjoy it.
For the past few weeks, LVC students and professors have been teased by the weather – will it be sunny and warm, or will it be bitterly cold?
Regardless, in light of this enjoyable weather, there are plenty of things that LVC students can be doing to get outside and enjoy the large amounts of green space on campus.
Many students like taking advantage of the academic and social quads, as well as the area next to the peace garden, to set up camp and do work.
“I love getting a bunch of blankets and sitting outside with friends, either doing homework or just enjoying the nice weather,” Lauren Weaver, a sophomore political science major, said.

On days the turf and intramural fields are open, gather a group of friends and break out some games! Whether that be playing some pickup sports, or setting up spike ball, there are lots of options. Going for walks and runs throughout campus is another great way to enjoy the weather.
There are endless possibilities for ways that students can get outside and enjoy the warm weather, beyond some of the ways listed here. Next time the sun is shining, grab some sunscreen and get outside.
