Campus life during COVID-19

COVID-19 has not just impacted patients and doctors, but students too.

The pandemic has had an impact on everyone at LVC: the professors, the newly elected president, the staff and others. However, the life of the average LVC student is not as highlighted during this time of Zoom meetings, social distancing and mandatory face masks. One student, Dylan Martin, a junior business and economics major, shared his thoughts about the new COVID-19 regulations.

“There have been many more restrictions on social gatherings and events,” Martin said. “Plus, less abilities to study on campus.”

When asked if he ever feared contracting COVID-19 during this semester, Martin stated that he has never feared getting the virus. He went on to say that while this pandemic has made the college experience less positive, he understands why, given the circumstances.

“They definitely didn’t make it more positive, but I recognize the College staff is doing what they have to do,” Martin added.

COVID-19 has had an impact on LVC, let alone the world. So, while LVC students may be having to adjust to the new regulations on campus, they have faith in the college’s precautions and intentions.
