Plastered on the walls of the Arnold Sports Center are multiple flyers promoting a club only a select group of students are aware of.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Arnold Sports Center arena at 6 a.m., one can find the entire Dutchmen football team participating in speed and agility training as part of their voluntary off-season training.
“Morning runs are an opportunity for the team to reacquaint themselves with each other and promote healthy competition amongst the team in order to get in better shape while in the offseason,” Scott Salerno, offensive line coach, said.
Although it may seem intimidating, the run club is open for all students to join, and many football players believe that the run club could help better the LVC experience for all students that would like to attend.
“Not only does it better your physical self by helping your conditioning, you really feel better about yourself, and that energy helps you to attack your day,” Jack Branowski, junior striker, said.
The run club runs from Jan. 16 until Mar. 17 every Tuesday and Thursday morning, starting promptly at 6 a.m. unless otherwise specified by the directors of the program. No registration is required.
