Green Blotter, LVC’s student-run literary magazine, is accepting undergraduate student writing and art submissions for its 2020 publication.
Green Blotter is an annual literary magazine published by the Green Blotter Literary Society which features poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction and art pieces by any undergraduate student.
“This is a great opportunity to show off your writing and get published,” Lauren Sigmon, prose editor, said. “People should be proud of what they write. Sharing it with the world is fantastic.”
The literary society strives to create a platform in which any undergraduate student can have their work published while fostering creativity, writing and other art forms.
“My favorite part of Green Blotter is getting to read from a variety of different people,” Sigmon said. “Everyone who submits has a different voice and I find it so amazing picking the voices that piece together well for our final product.”
Students can also get involved by joining the literary society which is open to any interested student. Here members have the opportunity to help read, edit and select pieces for the edition as well as having fun with the rest of the members of the editorial staff and reader board.
“When I went to my first meeting and we talked about Green Blotter and played Dick, the best card game ever, I was hooked,” Sigmon said.
All submissions sent in by Feb. 22 will be considered for the 2020 edition of the magazine. Submissions submitted after the deadline will be held for the following years’ edition.
