The Lebanon Valley College Republicans join America in mourning for the loss of President George H. W. Bush, and we extend our thoughts and prayers to the entire Bush family. President Bush was more than a veteran, a statesman and a family man; he was a patriot. His incomparable faith, relentless dedication and immeasurable service to this nation set a standard that all Americans should admire and follow. As we reflect on George H.W. Bush’s life and legacy, may we be thankful for a humble leader who was never afraid to place his hope in America’s future. As America paves a greater future, may we never forget the words of President Bush, “We know what works: freedom works. We know what’s right: freedom is right.”
