LVC helps students branch out

LVC is continuously taking steps to give students opportunities to prepare them for their future endeavors.

JPL Creative, located in Harrisburg, reached out to LVC about a Career Day Event they were hosting and wanted students to consider attending. The event included a tour of the different departments within the company, education about internship opportunities, a Q&A session and the ability to network with some of the current employees.

“By having students attend the Career Day Event, they got to see real client work, talk about the challenges that face us each day, the demands that clients have and finally how it comes together,” Meredith McCann, manager of Human Resources at JPL, said.

Students appreciate when chances like these arise. Going onsite to a company does more for a student than any flyer or video could provide.

“I got real hands-on experience with employees who were passionate about what they do,” Paige Bryson, a junior English major, said. “Seeing what employees do at a marketing agency everyday is something you can’t pass up.”

Visiting Career Day events give true experiences of the real-world workforce; something you cannot get from being in a standard classroom environment.

Keep a lookout on your LVC email for more career day opportunities coming up.
