Lebanon Valley College was lucky enough to host John Zaffis, a paranormal expert, for one night on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Zaffis is a renowned demonologist who has worked on thousands of paranormal cases all over the globe for more than forty years. He is the nephew of Ed and Lorraine Warren, the well-known demonologists at the forefront of many of the hauntings of the 20th century.
Due to this connection, he was able to join them on many investigations early in his career. His appearance was marked by a presentation, a sneak peek at his paranormal museum in Stratford, Connecticut and a ghost walk through the Bishop Library.
The hour-long presentation covered what ghosts are, poltergeists, demonic entities, EVP’s or electronic voice phenomenon, ESP and psychics, possession and exorcisms, mediums, paranormal appearances in photography and gave some details about many cases he has worked on including the famous Haunting in Connecticut.
Following the presentation, there was time for questions and then the group went to the Frock Conference Room in Bishop Library to see if there was paranormal activity.
Multiple ghosts were heard coming through the EVP device, including the voice of Ed Warren who follows nephew Zaffis on his tours and lectures since his death in 2006. John Zaffis has authored five books and numerous articles and essays. He wrote the documentary “Museum of the Paranormal,” and appears in a documentary about his life, “John Zaffis: The World Within.”
He has also been on episodes of “Ghost Adventures,” “A Haunting,” “Unsolved Mysteries” and “Scared!” He is in multiple Discovery Channel documentaries and had his own show, “Haunted Collector,” on the Syfy Channel.
