Graduation move-out information

As commencement rapidly approaches, graduating seniors are on the clock, to take their finals, move all personal belongings out of the dorms, and receive their college diplomas.

The spring 2018 semester will come to an end on May 10. and Baccalaureate will be held the next day at 6:30 p.m. in the Louis A. Sorrentino Gymnasium. The 149th commencement with be held on May 12. at 10 a.m.

Between finishing up exams and preparing to graduate students will need to make sure to move all items out of the dorms by May 12. This is the official date that the residence halls will close for the summer.

“It’s a very exciting time to become an independent woman and start my career,” Kaitlyn Kennedy, a senior accounting major, said.

Here are a few tips to make sure move out does not add any extra stress: first, clean up the room. Another great way to clean our a dorm room is to do a trash purge and take home any winter clothes or items that are no longer necessary to keep around.

Next, sell back books and make a couple extra dollars. As graduating seniors, many of these books won’t be necessary to keep after commencement.
