Students converse over culture

By Janessa Cruz

Caffeine, culture and conversations is Global Coffee Hour summed up in three words.

The Center for Global Education welcomes students every two weeks on Friday at 3 p.m. in Lebegern Learning Commons. A selection of coffees, teas and snacks are offered to students as a way to gather and conversate.

“I love Global Coffee Hours because they’re a great way to end the week,” said a junior digital communications and global studies double major, Devon Malloy. “ It’s fun to learn about the world through the eyes of LVC students, professors, and staff, and coffee hour gives you the opportunity to hear about places you’ve maybe never heard of before through all sorts of perspectives.”

Students learn and present about a range of international topics, which includes study abroad.

The next Global Coffee Hour will be held Friday, Apr.  27 at 3 p.m. The social event will be about the topic of “Africa.”
