ValleyFest artist rundown

The ValleyFest committee announced “We The Kings” (WTK) as the 2018 performer, but for those who have never heard them, here’s what you need to know.

WTK is a pop-punk/pop-rock band from Bradenton, Florida. The band members have all been friends since childhood and brought the band together during their time in high school. Their first self-titled album was released in Oct. 2007, and the top hit from that album, “Check Yes Juliet,” was on the Billboard Hot 100.

“We are more than excited to have WTK come to Annville,” Jess Zeiner, senior athletic training major and ValleyFest president, said. “WTK was an option sent to us by our agent, and through trial and error, we found this artist and couldn’t be happier.”

WTK is currently in the production of their sixth studio album. Since the release of their first album ten years ago, the band has toured with Boys Like Girls, All Time Low, Cobra Starship, and became a headliner for Vans Warped Tour. The band also released the popular songs “Heaven Can Wait” and “We’ll Be A Dream,” which featured Demi Lovato.

“We are excited to see the student turnout at this concert,” Zeiner said. “Tickets are only $10 for LVC students, which is cheap for a concert ticket, so we hope to see everyone there.”

The band’s new album is available for pre-order and features two popular singles “Festival Music” and “Planes, Trains, and Cars.” WTK will perform at LVC on April 20 and tickets are on sale now.
