Matt Yingst will serve as the head coach for Lebanon Valley College’s women’s ice hockey team.

Yingst was an assistant for the LVC’s men’s ice hockey team from 1999-2007. Most recently, Yingst served as the director of hockey operations for the Hershey Jr. Bears.

Nikki Lloyd, a junior captain, is excited to welcome one of her former coaches to the women’s hockey team. Yingst coached Lloyd during her time with the Hershey Jr. Bears organization.

“I think Matt Yingst will be a great coach for years to come for Lebanon Valley College,” Lloyd said. “He already knows the community and culture of the institution and its athletics programs, so I believe that he will do a great job building upon it.”

After graduating from the University of Connecticut, Yingst played professionally for several clubs, including the AHL’s Hershey Bears.

Yingst was announced head coach on April 10 and will begin coaching the team as they enter this second season.
