It’s no secret that changing schools can be scary, especially when transferring colleges.
However, LVC does everything possible to make this change seamless for transfer students.
Because of the smaller student body size, it’s easier for transfer students to become acclimated to their new school and get familiar with their classmates and teachers.
This type of personal and welcoming environment is what attracts students looking to continue their education somewhere else.
This year, LVC’s incoming class included close to 50 transfer students.
When asked about his experience transferring to LVC, sophomore student Roman Byler said, “the community, including professors, students and staff, have all been so welcoming.”
LVC also helps students through the transfer of their credits to ensure that they can continue their education right where they left off.
Transfer students are assigned an academic advisor to help register them for the appropriate courses and get them ready to join the LVC community.
If students know anyone who is interested in transferring to LVC, contact J. Scott Myers, the coordinator of transfer enrollment at jmyers@lvc.edu.
