March to Kreiderheim

By Jacob Snarsky ‘25, staff writer

The march to Kreiderheim is a tradition where LVC students march over to President James MacLaren’s house and ask him to start Thanksgiving break a day early.

In previous years, this request would be granted if the LVC football team beat Albright’s football team.

The march is on once again, as the Dutchman football team beat the Albright Lions 47-9 on Saturday, Nov. 11, winning the fourth game in a row against their conference rivals.

The march took place on Monday, Nov. 13, at 4 p.m. and started by the bleachers near Arnold Field. Led by the football team and marching band, students who attended marched across the bridge towards McGill Field then went up the hillside leading to the president’s residence.

While celebrating the football team’s win, MacLaren granted the request for students to get the Wednesday before Thanksgiving break off, followed by cheers from students.

Enjoy the extra day off, Dutchmen!
