The Dutchmen pep rally was full of excitement to get students ready for the remainder of the homecoming weekend.

The pep rally was held at Arnold Field on the Friday night of the long-awaited weekend.  It spotlighted several athletic teams and organizations throughout the event.

It began with the LVC cheer squad leading the crowd with a blue and white cheer.  The homecoming court was announced next, with all five couples dancing.

Following these dances, the captains for each fall sport talked to the crowd about their respective seasons so far and expressed appreciation for everyone’s support of athletics.

After the speeches, the Dutchmen Dance-Off began, which is the crowd favorite.

Several teams danced, with Barbie being a popular theme among the teams.

“It’s fun to watch all the teams come together off the field and do something fun,” Maddy Gronback, sophomore athletic training major, said.  “I love the energy they give off to get everyone into it.”

After all the routines were over, students voted for their favorite group and drumline took the crown.

Congratulations, drumline!
