As a part of National Student Employee Appreciation Week, LVC’s Office of Human Resources has announced the winners of the LVC student employee awards.
The Student Employee of the Year receives a $100 College Store card and runner-up honorees receive a $25 College Store gift card. The honorees are as follows: Allie Jones, Mallory Anderson, Reagan Little, Robert Moul, Bella Calderone, Marah Hoffman and Robbie Bonnacci.
A senior English and Creative Writing major, Lauren Walters, is the Student Employee of the Year award winner. During her time at LVC, Walters has done work for English, Creative Writing and Creative Arts, managing social media. She has assisted in generating content for LVC’s Visiting Writers series and Writing: A Life series. Walters has also assisted in outreach events for prospective students and families.
“I’m honored to be named student employee of the year,” Walters said. “I had no idea the award existed prior to receiving the email. It was definitely a happy surprise!”
Walters has greatly enjoyed fulfilling her various roles and thanks LVC for the practical experience each role provided.
“I’d also like to express my gratitude to Dr. Wendt and Dr. Machado for advising many of these positions,” Walters said. “I’m exceedingly grateful to have been named Student Employee of the Year, and considering how amazing all these opportunities have been, it is really the cherry on top.”
LVC sends the sincerest congratulations to these student employees for their hard work!
