The winter sports season is right around the corner and the men’s ice hockey team is gearing up for its long season ahead.

According to the Middle Atlantic Conference’s poll standings for the season, LVC is tied for second with Wilkes University.

“It was good that the hard work from last season was noticed, and we are looking to get to first place,” graduate student and captain, Alex Borowiec, said.

Last season was cut short because of COVID-19.

“We are most excited to play a full season rather than the seven that we had last year,” Borowiec said.

The team had its first exhibition match this past Saturday, and they will be back on the ice Saturday, Oct. 30, at home against Morrisville State at Hersheypark Arena at 4 p.m.
