Fall break comes to an end

Fall break has ended and students are back to classes, but it was a much-needed time of relaxation for LVC students.

A four-day weekend was what some students needed to relax and reset before working hard until Thanksgiving break. Even if they only relaxed part of the break, it was still a break for them and not have stress about going to class for two days.

Some students went home for fall break to visit their families and friends, while others may have stayed close to campus. There were also athletic games still happening across campus.

Two student-athletes had a great time over the break. Women’s tennis had a tournament at Goucher College in Maryland. These two athletes won first place for number two doubles.

Madison Poladian and Eliana Shenk had a great win and they both enjoyed that time over break. The tournament was on Saturday and Sunday of break and they both ended up relaxing and doing homework the rest of the weekend.

Even though they were still working hard winning, they both said that they enjoyed the time that they spent playing tennis together.

Another student, Janalyn Gonzalez, a junior business administration and art major, also had a very relaxing break, and did a little bit of homework on campus. Gonzalez said it was a “much needed” break and appreciated it.

These students each had a different kind of fall break, but they all decided that it was needed and very helpful for us Dutchmen.
